Haiku - Nest

This is the third day of my self challenged poetry blogging. I have chose Haiku as my medium. A Japanese poetry form with 5-7-5 syllable arrangement. The one word prompt for this post is Nest. Here is my Haiku for the day. Dry grass, some cotton Few leaves to cover it up, Full of love and warmth I have tried describing a nest instead of incorporating the word itself in my poem. I hope you all are having fun. I am really enjoying this challenge. It has been three days since I have started this challenge. I am ready to explore more topics and challenge myself. Haiku - Branch

Today , the one word prompt for my  Haiku is 'Branch'. Here, I am using the meaning related to plants. The part of the plant which grows from the trunk is a branch. The Haiku I have written is in 5-7-5 format. Upwards and sideways Branches searching for sun rays Cast a long shadow

Blogging challenge - poetry

shiny and sparkling grow bigger with every blow bubbles, wander From this Monday, I have decided to try something new. After along gap of almost 3 months, I am back with a fresh start. Learning while blogging is my motto. In April, I did the A to Z Challenge. It was my first ever blogging challenge. I have decided to challenge myself and venture into poetry writing. I know that it is very hard task to write something so creative as a poem. But, I am going to try it. I would like to share that I like reading and learning about new poetry types. That is why I am writing here even though I have very less experience in poetry. I believe creativity will flow when I persistently study this form. I will be sharing a Hiaku on a random one word theme. A Haiku is a Japanese Poetry form. Conventionally, it comprises of 3 lines and follows syllable pattern as 5-7-5.
